Centerpoint I examines the ego, shadow, persona, anima and animus, dreams, mythology and the process of individuation from several perspectives. Persona, for instance, is defined in excerpts from “The Collected Works of C.G. Jung” and amplified in the reflections of four noted Jungian authors, the tale of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and the mystery of “Abu Kasem’s Slippers.” You will discover your typological blueprint with the Gray-Wheelwright test and are encouraged to journal and record your dreams.

In this type of process, things will often not seem to be ratio­nally,  or logically per­fectly clear. Wag­ner once wrote of his operas, “I believe it was sound instinct which set me on my guard against an undue enthu­si­asm for making things clear, for I have come to the firm con­clu­sion to make my intention too obvi­ous would get in the way of a gen­uine under­stand­ing. In drama and art, gen­er­ally the way to make an effect is not by argu­ing an opin­ion but by putting for­ward some­thing instinc­tive.” And, we would add, as in drama and art, so in life.
